About the role

MCAPS-Core accelerates customer outcomes and business growth. By uniting product, engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, and partners around a common customer mission, we help customers realize value faster and turn innovation into measurable business impact. Through deep technical expertise and differentiated go-to-market execution, we win competitively, capture market share, and scale repeatable growth motions. We differentiate through value creation - delivering world-class, AI-powered customer experiences that accelerate adoption, strengthen loyalty, and create sustainable competitive advantage, driving growth that outpaces the market.
Microsoft's Global Strategy & Operations (GSO) team turns strategy into execution for the Core commercial organization. The pace and complexity of the business demand disciplined operating rhythms that keep senior leaders aligned on the most important priorities, surface insights and blockers early, and drive measurable progress against commitments month over month.
This strategy role will work very closely with the Commercial Solution Area and Product Marketing teams to drive strategic alignment across a number of Executive rhythms inclusive of Cohorts, IAR, MBR, Commercial Business Overview and more. This person will support the strategic execution and business rhythm for a single solution area, acting as the connective tissue between the CSA solution-area-aligned teams, the product marketing-aligned teams, the go-to-market organization, and the executive RoB forums where decisions get made. This person will actively engage in Cohort SteerCo discussions to drive actions and decision-making forward week over week with senior leaders across the company.
This opportunity will allow you to:
Develop business acumen and strategic insight aligned to a solution area and across Microsoft's broader customer motions and strategic priorities.
Build influence and collaborate effectively through direct, sustained engagement with senior leaders across sales, technical, marketing, and go-to-market organizations.
Hone your ability to operate in a rapid engagement model—driving milestones, deliverables, and measurable outcomes on a weekly cadence.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Support solution area strategy and execution across executive rhythms.
- Develop deep, trusted relationships with both the CSA solution-area-aligned teams and the product marketing-aligned teams, staying close enough to their priorities to drive strategic influence.
- Actively participate in the cohort SteerCo meetings, driving progress forward week over week on cohort action items and follow-ups rather than simply reporting on them.
- Track actions and follow-ups coming out of the full range of executive RoB forums, confirm a named owner is on point for each, progress them against the solution area priorities, and feed outcomes back to the field once actions are completed.
- Collaborate closely with the executive RoB operational leads to identify the agenda items most critical to serve up in each forum, tailored to the specific audience in the room.
- Ensure strong voice-of-field representation across both Enterprise and SME&C, so that when forums discuss insights, blockers, and asks, each one is anchored to real, relevant customer examples.
- Play a critical role in the Commercial Accelerator Summit—shaping the supporting content and breakout sessions for your solution area—and in the CVP event.
- Partner with the go-to-market team to identify upcoming product announcements and help land effectively with the Field.
- Bring strong executive presence and senior-level influence to a highly collaborative set of stakeholders, delivering to outcomes with a blend of business strategy capability and technical understanding.
