Play an important role in maintaining product quality and strengthening quality systems across the Rockford site. As a Quality Assurance Specialist I, you will manage key quality activities, investigate and resolve quality issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products, processes, and documentation meet ISO, customer, and internal quality requirements. You will also have opportunities to build your quality expertise while contributing to continuous improvement across the site.
A Day in the Life:
- Support site Quality Assurance activities to help maintain compliance with ISO and internal quality system requirements
- Manage engineering change notices and deviations, and lead quality investigations involving customer complaints, product integrity concerns, and other quality issues through timely and effective resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, respond to customer needs, and support business objectives
- Support internal and external audits, ISO certification activities, and continuous improvement efforts
- Support raw material reviews and incoming inspection activities to help ensure continued product quality
- Develop and maintain quality and product documentation, including procedures, Certificates of Analysis templates, customer surveys, specifications, and product information
- Collect and analyze quality data, provide training on quality procedures, and contribute to process and quality system improvements
- Participate on cross-functional teams supporting new products, product changes, validations, and other operational initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline required
Experience
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, or other quality-controlled environment required
- Experience working with quality systems and documentation preferred
- Knowledge of ISO quality management systems preferred
- Experience working with internal or external customers preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and contribute effectively as part of a team
- Customer-focused with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to learn and apply quality system requirements
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Ability to work in an office, manufacturing or laboratory environment, as needed
- May require occasional lifting and extended periods of standing
- Ability to work some overtime, as needed

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $48,400.00–$64,500.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
