-You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, pricing economics, and customer engagement—translating deep technical understanding into pricing constructs that accelerate cloud adoption, simplify complex migrations, and help customers transition financial planning from capital expenditure to operational expenditure models.
Key job responsibilities
-Pricing Strategy & Product Roadmap
-Own and evolve the end-to-end private pricing strategy for AWS Storage and Analytics services, including pricing model design, deal structuring, and service-level approval frameworks for specialized and custom engagements
-Define and prioritize the pricing product roadmap, partnering with Engineering to build new private pricing features, automation capabilities, and scalable pricing constructs that create win-win dynamics with customers.
-Develop and refine pricing mental models and frameworks that translate complex service economics into clear, defensible pricing positions for the field and executive leadership
-Conduct rigorous competitive analysis, pricing benchmarking, and financial (P&L) modeling to inform pricing decisions and identify whitespace opportunities for service growth
-Cross-Functional Collaboration & GTM Execution
-Drive cross-functional alignment across Go-to-Market (GTM), Finance, Strategic Customer Engagement (SCE), -Legal, Service Teams, and Account Teams to evaluate pricing strategies, structure complex deals, and identify growth initiatives. Partner with Sales, Solution Architects, and Business Development to solve intricate pricing and product challenges for AWS's most strategic and large-scale customers
-Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new pricing constructs, ensuring seamless adoption across internal stakeholders and external customer-facing teams
-Serve as the pricing subject matter expert for your service portfolio, advising account teams, SCE, and senior leadership on deal strategy, competitive positioning, and customer negotiations
-Technical Depth & Product Expertise
-Develop deep technical fluency across your service portfolio—understanding service architectures, usage patterns, cost drivers, and workload characteristics—to connect product and technical strategies with pricing innovation
-Identify gaps in product capabilities through pricing engagement insights and advocate for product enhancements that unlock new customer segments or growth vectors
-Translate field-level customer feedback and deal patterns into actionable product and pricing roadmap inputs for service teams
-Operational Excellence & Intelligent Automation
-Design and build agentic workflows and AI-assisted tooling to continuously optimize, automate, and scale pricing operations, deal analysis, and approval processes
-Develop high-quality reporting, dashboards, and analytical frameworks for executive leadership to drive data-informed pricing decisions
-Champion operational efficiency by identifying process bottlenecks and implementing scalable solutions that reduce cycle times and improve the customer experience
A day in the life
You will manage pricing strategy and decisions for all private and custom deals across AWS Storage and Analytics services. This includes owning service-level approvals for private pricing agreements, developing and iterating on pricing constructs and mental models that create mutual value with customers, and managing the pricing feature backlog with Engineering teams. You will regularly engage with AWS's largest and most strategic customers alongside account teams and SCE, translating complex technical requirements into pricing solutions that accelerate adoption. You will build and leverage agentic AI workflows to scale your analytical capacity and drive faster, more informed pricing decisions across your portfolio.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
