The Risk Management Country Analyst supports the organization’s risk management activities by building expertise in risk management and providing insights and recommendations with guidance. The role contributes to identifying potential risks within the assigned area, evaluating their impact on business objectives and operations, and supporting the execution of risk mitigation strategies. Responsibilities include assisting with the development and implementation of risk management programs, policies, procedures, and tools; participating in risk assessments, audits, and reporting; and supporting regulatory and compliance requirements. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams, contributes to training and awareness initiatives, helps resolve risk-related issues, and supports monitoring of the organization’s risk profile, promoting a consistent and risk-aware culture across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying potential risks within the assigned area and support the evaluation of their impact on business objectives and operations.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of risk management programs, policies, procedures, and strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Participate in risk assessments and audits, including tracking, documenting, and helping resolve risk-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to support an integrated approach to risk management across the organization.
  • Help generate regular reports on risk exposures, potential impacts, mitigation efforts, and regulatory or compliance matters.
  • Aid the organization in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements related to risk management, including learning to liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in providing risk management input into strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of risk management tools and methodologies.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of risk management training, awareness programs, and the sharing of best practices.
  • Promote a risk-aware culture within the organization.       

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of risk management principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Understanding of the specific industry, associated risks, and applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to risk assessments and audits, including awareness of related reporting procedures.
  • Familiarity with cross-departmental collaboration and strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Awareness of engagement with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Awareness of current industry trends and developments in risk management.   
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, identify risks, and support the resolution of risk-related issues.
  • Understanding of strategic risk mitigation planning and decision-making processes based on risk analysis.
  • Fundamental communication skills to clearly articulate risk-related issues to stakeholders.
  • Teamwork skills and leadership potential to support cross-functional collaboration.
  • Basic project management skills applicable to risk-related initiatives.
  • Initial negotiation skills when working with regulators and auditors.
  • Adaptability to changing regulatory environments and industry trends.
  • Basic proficiency in using risk management software and applications.
  • 0-2 years of experience
