As the Charging Automation Lead , you will architect the transition from manual infrastructure to a fully automated, ""zero-touch"" charging network supporting a global autonomous vehicle fleet. This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Director of Global Workplace & eMobility.
You will:
- Act as the primary technical lead ensuring seamless data integration between vehicle mechatronic embedded controls, charging hardware, CMS products and cloud-based data aggregation mobile applications
- Support the integration of robotic automation into existing charging infrastructure, specifically the communications between the various systems involved
- Lead the smart buildings design and implementation of automated test scripts and standardized workflows for EV charging features, from initial development through utility energization and final customer activation
- Define and enforce rigorous quality standards and testing strategies, integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality charging infrastructure
- Identify process inefficiencies and lead implementation of automation virtualization opportunities to reduce manual testing and streamline commissioning activities
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and feature owners while managing external commissioning vendors to ensure all site technical requirements are met
You have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of relevant experience with Charger Management Systems development, API development, data automation/scripting, specifically with high proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks like Autobot or similar
