Job Summary
We are seeking a senior UX leader who guides delivery, supports pursuits, maintains project-level client relationships & mentors teams through selective hands-on design work. The role involves leading end-to-end UX initiatives, defining user-centric design strategies, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and ensuring user-centric design solutions that deliver business value. The ideal candidate will combine strong design leadership with strategic thinking, business acumen, and a deep understanding of user research and design best practices.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UX initiatives, guiding teams through research, discovery, ideation, design, prototyping, testing, and implementation.
- Translate customer insights, business requirements, and complex challenges into intuitive, impactful, and user-centered experiences.
- Define and drive the UX vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with user needs and organizational objectives.
- Establish and govern UX standards, design systems, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, accessibility, and design excellence.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Business, and leadership stakeholders to align UX solutions with project and organizational goals.
- Facilitate workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder discussions to drive innovation, alignment, and informed decision-making.
- Present UX strategies, research findings, design concepts, and recommendations to senior leadership and project stakeholders.
- Drive data-informed design decisions through user research, usability testing, analytics, and performance insights.
- Guide UX planning, prioritization, and coordination across initiatives to support effective and successful delivery.
- Build and maintain trusted working relationships with client and internal stakeholders within assigned projects.
- Participate in discovery discussions, solution workshops, and pursuit activities to help define user-centered approaches for prospective engagements.
- Provide selective hands-on design leadership for complex user journeys, workshops, prototypes, and critical design challenges, while mentoring teams and maintaining design quality.
- Lead, mentor, and develop UX designers, researchers, and design leads, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Contribute UX expertise to shape compelling experience strategies and delivery approaches for new opportunities.
- Lead UX transformation and design maturity initiatives, leveraging emerging trends, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Support digital transformation initiatives through customer-centric and research-driven design approaches.
Professional and Technical Skills:
- 15+ years of experience in UX/UI Design, Product Design, Service Design, or Experience Design, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in Human-Centered Design (HCD), Design Thinking, and user-centered design principles.
- Proficiency in UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, or similar platforms.
- Proven ability to shape UX solutions for new opportunities by defining approaches, delivery models, resource requirements, and experience strategies.
- Extensive experience in user research, usability testing, customer journey mapping, information architecture, interaction design, and data-informed design practices.
- Experience leading the creation, implementation, and governance of enterprise design systems.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including coaching, mentoring, performance development, and capability building.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UX strategy, interaction design, problem-solving, and visual storytelling.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Lean UX, and product development environments with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders within project engagements, building trusted relationships and driving alignment.
- Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to leverage user insights, analytics, and UX metrics to drive data-informed design decisions.
