Job Purpose

  • Drive the growth and development of a high-value multinational client portfolio within the Global Network Banking (GNB) business, providing a balanced risk/reward framework while driving multi-country business origination and corridor growth.

  • The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is a senior member of a unique global relationship network that is widely regarded by global players as being best-in-class in terms of client coverage and delivery of banking solutions. The RAM acts as the central strategic advisor, orchestrating Citi's regional resources to deliver a unified banking experience.
  • This role supports a holistic, end-to-end, global approach to serving Citi's most strategically important multinational clients. As part of an origination team, the role involves a significant amount of client contact both face-to-face and virtually, across multiple regional markets, requiring close coordination with product specialists and local banking franchises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in strategic dialogue with clients' senior management, opening access to the highest levels of their organization to position Citi as the core banking partner across the region.
  • Build new and nurture existing relationships with regional executives, treasurers, and key decision-makers to become a trusted advisor on regional strategy, market navigation, treasury, and risk management.
  • Develop a profound understanding of the client's regional and global business strategy to anticipate needs and propose sophisticated, multi-country solutions.
  • Maintain high-level engagement and strategic dialogue to position Citi as the core banking partner across the region.
  • Lead and assist the banker team in digging deeper to proactively identify clients' full needs across treasury, trade, financing, and risk management in the regional context, providing strong personal leadership and mentorship.
  • Implement calling plans to ensure business development is pursued systematically across the client base, acting as the designated senior calling officer for selected intensive users of Citi's global network.
  • Deliver the annual budgeted revenue growth developed in agreement with Product partners, driving specific multi-country business origination and wallet expansion initiatives.
  • Architect and manage a regional pipeline for complex, multi-jurisdictional opportunities, ensuring a coordinated approach to deal execution.
  • Partner with product specialists to design and implement regional solutions, such as regional liquidity structures and cross-border financing, while maintaining strong knowledge of complex credit structures.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal and regulatory policies on Risk, Control, Know Your Customer (KYC), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML), fostering the highest standards of ethics, control, and risk management.
