The Role 

We're looking for a hands-on infrastructure engineer to join our core platform team. You’ll be the go-to person for our infrastructure, security, recovery, and provisioning. You’ll have significant impact on our strategy, recommending and executing initiatives to enable sustainable operations alongside our existing dev ops specialists and our core platform team.  

Our infrastructure is primarily in AWS, CI/CD is via Bitbucket pipelines and Octopus deploy. We provision with infrastructure-as-code via Terraform.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for technical direction and execution. 

You will:

What You’ll Bring: 

Core Infrastructure & AWS 

  • Deep cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) experience (5+ years) with production workloads at scale. 

  • AWS certification is beneficial, especially if direct AWS experience is less than 5 years.  

  • 2+ years Kubernetes experience - EKS and ECS in day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, upgrades, scaling strategies. 

  • VPC networking, security groups, routing, gateways, IP subsets - can design and troubleshoot network architectures. 

  • IAM policies and AWS security best practices - principle of least privilege, cross-account access. 

  • Experience with High Availability & Disaster Recovery strategy and implementation. 

Security & Compliance 

  • Security-first mindset - understands attack vectors, defence in depth. 

  • Experience with compliance frameworks. 

  • Can work with auditors and provide evidence for controls. 

  • Able to produce fit-for-purpose documentation of the infrastructure.
