Typical Accountabilities
- Own delivery operations within a small single market or distribution centre by planning resources, defining objectives, and monitoring performance to ensure achievement of desired outcomes.
- Undertake comprehensive management reporting using both Information Systems and traditional paper-based systems to provide detailed performance insights.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety, Health and Environment policies, and Sarbanes Oxley business requirements, while promptly addressing any arising issues.
- Follow AstraZeneca’s financial policies to effectively manage people resources, align with regulatory standards, and meet budgetary expectations.
- Optimize team performance by setting clear expectations, enabling individuals to understand their role's impact, and supporting their professional growth.
- Communicate the overarching business plan to the team and act as the ultimate escalation point to resolve critical issues affecting delivery within the distribution centre.
- Promote and lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas of improvement and implementing solutions that enhance operational outcomes.
- Proactively identify and propose opportunities for improvement to address risk and enhance sustainability.
- Help teams appreciate the benefits and adopt digital tools through structured efforts for learning and change management.
- Drive continuous improvement and effectively revise plans in line with changing priorities, as needed.
- Ensure Lean, Digital, TPM and Safety standards are deployed.
- Lead Tier Meetings.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
Education: Pharmaceutical Science is a must
Professional knowledge of warehouse operations and/or distribution operations, such as transportation; or work on issue resolution with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs);
Experience in team leadership, from 3-5 years
Desirable:
- Professional qualification in distribution.
