The Alexa Connected Devices team is seeking a dynamic Principal Technical Program Manager to drive innovation in our core horizontal services. As part of the team that enables over 1 billion connected endpoints (Echo, FireTV, Smart Home, Mobile, and Metis), you'll lead complex initiatives that transform how Alexa connects, discovers, and manages devices, deliver multi-device experiences, and integrate Context with Alexa's LLM at massive scale.
Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for championing and successfully delivering large projects and programs across Alexa. You will:
- Drive complex technical programs that power Alexa's core device connectivity, management, and interaction capabilities
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to scale our infrastructure that processes billions of daily context updates and device commands
- Own end-to-end program execution: gather and analyze requirements, coordinate and participate in technical design, build and maintain project/program plans, track progress, mitigate risks, communicate with stakeholders and ensure successful delivery
- Manage dependencies across multiple teams to optimize delivery while maintaining quality SLAs
- Partner with engineering and QA teams to design, implement, and test solutions
- Develop and track program metrics focused on: Availability, Latency, Accuracy, Quality, Cost-effectiveness, Operational excellence and progarm success
- Create and maintain program roadmaps, identifying risks and dependencies while driving mitigation strategies
- Lead operational excellence initiatives to improve developer productivity and system efficiency
A day in the life
You'll collaborate across teams to define and deliver platform features through:
Program & Technical Leadership
- Partner with product, engineering, QA, and stakeholders to define and refine platform features
- Guide end-to-end feature delivery across multiple teams and systems
- Deep dive into: requirements, technical specifications and engineering implementation plans
- Drive integration between edge devices, cloud services, and consumer-facing features
- Communicate across levels informing status, blockers, and path forward
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Guide diverse teams including: Product managers, Engineering teams, other program managers, Science teams
- Facilitate technical discussions, drive consensus, and decision-making
- Ensure alignment and forward progress across workstreams
Execution & Delivery
- Lead regular status updates and program reviews
- Identify and remove blocking issues
- Monitor progress against milestones
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout development
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes

Alexa Connected Devices team's mission is to design, build, and operate core horizontal services that power Alexa—the world's largest IoT installation and most capable, efficient, and trusted AI assistant. We deliver core capabilities enabling Alexa to connect, discover, set up, manage, and interface with over 1 billion connected endpoints (Echo, FireTV, Smart Home, Mobile, and Apps). We intelligently manage single and multi-device environments through events, registries, state, task, perception, and targeting primitives. We aggregate, synthesize, and optimize context delivery to LLMs, and provide API surfaces and response orchestration enabling Alexa LLMs and domains to render the most important Alexa+ experiences.
Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
