Description
We are currently seeking a dynamic, successful product marketing professional to join the Apple Watch and Health Product Marketing group. You will be part of the team helping define and market new products and features as well as helping Apple continue to lead in the smartwatch, wearable, fitness, and health categories. This includes working both inbound and outbound to drive the development, introduction, and lifecycle of features and technologies. Responsibilities

Understand and communicate user needs and perspectives to inspire the broader organization, and help conceptualize new products and features.
Distill insights by using data to inform product decisions from competitive analysis, and voice of the customer insights.
Work in a global cross-functional team with engineering, clinical, human interface, industrial design, public relations, and marketing communications through the complete product development cycle.
Define product positioning and key product messages.
Position the product in relation to other products and the competition.
Work with marketing communications and PR to develop product launch activities, press releases, and marketing materials.
Serve as the ambassador for your product attending and leading press briefings.
Research and synthesize technology trends, the competitive landscape, and user feedback to identify new product and business model opportunities.
Manage trade-offs involving features, schedule, line positioning, and lifecycle management.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years experience in product marketing and/or product management roles, including at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch. Ideally with experience in hardware, software and services.
Hands-on experience formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing for both technical and consumer audiences, and partnering with engineering during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap, and with marketing and public relations to craft positioning, and define marketing activities.
Recent experience within the last 3 years in one or more of the following product segments: smart watch/wearables/fitness/health industries, and/or adjacent consumer hardware, software, or services experience.
Ability to drive communication with key stakeholders, the media, and public, as demonstrated by exceptional presentation skills: developing keynote addresses in an area of deep subject matter expertise, synthesizing information, applying critical thinking, crafting a compelling product story, and maintaining composure under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of experience in product management and/or product marketing.
Deep understanding and passion for the health, fitness, and wearables landscape, products, and experiences.
Exceptional interpersonal skills; thrives in highly collaborative projects, effective at building consensus, handles high stakes decisions with ease, with the ability to cut through ambiguity.
You can balance multiple projects and thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Well-versed formulating product messaging including creating and delivering outbound marketing.
Ability to synthesize technologies into product communication for broad audiences including customers, media, analysts, and leading industry specialists.
Best-in-class story-telling, presentation, and written communication skills.
Press and media experience with success as a product spokesperson on a national or global level.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally a few times a year.
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree, or MBA preferred.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,600 and $263,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
