Microsoft is a company where passionate innovators come to collaborate, envision what can be, and take their careers further. This is a world of more possibilities, more innovation, more openness, and limitless thinking in a cloud-enabled world.

Microsoft's Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data through products spanning databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging and real-time analytics, and business intelligence. Our portfolio includes Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Our mission is to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture.

The Databases organization delivers trusted, scalable, AI-ready operational databases that support application development across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. Our portfolio includes SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, DocumentDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. These technologies help developers create AI-native applications and run critical workloads at global scale.

The Microsoft Fabric App Development team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build the next generation of application development capabilities in Microsoft Fabric. Our mission is to enable developers, from low-code makers to professional developers, to build, manage, and operate data-intensive applications with the simplicity, productivity, and operational excellence of modern software-as-a-service platforms.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help design, develop, and deliver core platform capabilities that power Fabric applications. In this role, you will solve complex technical problems, contribute to component and feature design, and help advance the Microsoft Fabric application development platform.

You will apply strong software engineering fundamentals and system design skills to deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions. You will have opportunities to work through ambiguity, collaborate across teams, and help drive projects from concept through production.

Our team combines an ownership-focused, innovative mindset with the scale, reach, and impact of Microsoft Fabric. We foster a culture in which engineers are empowered to take ownership, innovate, learn continuously, and support one another while building products that serve developers worldwide.

Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.
