Help shape the future of edge infrastructure for customers with demanding security, compliance, data residency, and operational requirements. Our team develops Sovereign Private Cloud and Azure Local solutions that enable organizations to run critical workloads on premise with greater control over their data, infrastructure, and operations. You will work across product, engineering, business, and customer teams to turn complex needs into scalable solutions.
As a Principal Product Manager, you will define product strategy, establish roadmaps, and lead cross-functional execution for Sovereign Private Cloud and Azure Local infrastructure. You will engage customers and partners, translate market and technical requirements into product priorities, and guide solutions from concept through release and adoption. This opportunity will allow you to deepen your cloud infrastructure expertise, influence product direction, and lead programs with broad customer and business impact.

Responsibilities
- Define and drive product strategy, priorities, and roadmaps for Sovereign Private Cloud and Azure Local infrastructure, using customer needs, market insights, and business objectives to identify long-term investment opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional programs across product management, engineering, security, operations, marketing, sales, support, and partner organizations, establishing clear outcomes, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria.
- Engage customers and partners to understand their cloud infrastructure, sovereignty, security, compliance, and operational needs; translate those needs into product requirements and prioritized scenarios.
- Partner with engineering and design teams to define capabilities, evaluate tradeoffs, review product experiences, and guide solutions through planning, development, validation, release, and lifecycle management.
- Develop product launch, adoption, and support plans in partnership with product marketing, field, and customer-success teams, and communicate product direction to technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Use qualitative feedback and performance data to evaluate product outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement, manage product lifecycle decisions, and build trusted relationships with customers and partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years of experience in product, service, project, or program management, or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 12+ years of experience in product, service, project, or program management, or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with cloud, hybrid cloud, private cloud, distributed systems, or enterprise infrastructure products.
- Familiarity with sovereign-cloud considerations, such as data residency, security, compliance, and operational control.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical and business topics clearly to customers, partners, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional technology products or programs from planning through delivery.
- Experience translating customer, market, or business needs into product requirements, priorities, and roadmaps.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving decisions across organizational boundaries.
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
