The Financial Services HR Business Partner team is looking for a Senior Manager, HRBP to partner directly with executive leaders in Servicing to deliver on people initiatives and talent strategy. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong relationship building, influencing, communication, and problem solving skills; who thrives in a fast paced and collaborative team.
In this role, you will serve as an embedded business partner, using data, process design, and talent analytics to optimize operational velocity, elevate leadership capability, and drive frontline associate enablement. If you thrive in a high-volume, highly analytical, and tech-forward operational environment, this role provides the platform to drive scalable organizational impact.

Operations-Minded Strategist: You speak the language of operational metrics and frame talent initiatives as direct solutions to business imperatives.
AI-Fluent Operator: You actively use AI and technical tools daily to accelerate personal productivity and modernize HR workflows.
Executive Influencer: You possess strong executive presence and can advise, challenge, and align fast-moving leaders using objective data and clear storytelling.
Agile Change Navigator: You thrive in high-velocity, ambiguous environments, guiding leaders and teams through organizational change with clarity, resilience, and speed.
Co-Creator & Team Multiplier: You bring business partners and HR peers into the solution design process early, building scalable frameworks for the broader HR ecosystem.
Low Friction, High Empathy: You balance a relentless drive for business results with high empathy, curiosity, and active listening—fostering an inclusive culture where leaders feel supported.
Your Responsibilities:
Embedded within the client’s leadership team, HRBPs are accountable for leading and delivering strategic talent initiatives, including:
Drive Business-First People Strategy: Partner with executive leaders to design and execute talent strategies aligned directly to business imperatives.
Optimize Operational Architecture: Lead complex organizational design and capacity planning across large associate populations.
Lead Talent Calibration & Succession: Facilitate rigorous talent reviews, performance calibrations, and succession planning to build resilient leadership pipelines and identify high-potential talent.
Drive Frontline Enablement & Retention: Leverage data and associate feedback to diagnose friction, improve associate enablement, and execute retention strategies.
Pioneer AI & Future-Skills Workforce Transformation: Actively leverage AI tools, technology, and workforce analytics to modernize HR execution, while serving as a strategic consultant to LOB leaders on workforce AI readiness, AI upskilling roadmaps, and future-skills organizational design.
Architect Strategic Talent Mobility: Build proactive talent pipelines, career pathing frameworks, and targeted hiring strategies to close capability gaps.
Executive Storytelling & Advisory: Package talent insights into persuasive business narratives for executives, framing HR decisions around measurable business metrics rather than HR compliance.
Govern Employment Risk & Well-Managed Practices: Partner with Associate Relations to proactively manage risk, ensure compliance, and maintain a well-managed environment.
Orchestrate HR Ecosystem Solutions: Collaborate seamlessly with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, L&D, People Analytics) to deliver integrated human capital solutions that attract, compensate, and retain top talent.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 5 years of client facing experience OR at least 5 years of consulting experience OR a combination
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
MBA or Master’s degree
Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources certification or coaching certification
7+ years of client facing experience or 7+ years of consulting experience or a combination
6+ years of experience in in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Plano, TX: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
