Role Overview

Droga5, part of Accenture Song, is looking for a talented Intermediate Copywriter to join our Auckland Creative team.

This role is focused on developing bold, effective and culturally relevant ideas across a broad range of clients and campaigns. Working in partnership with an Art Director and alongside a multidisciplinary creative team, you'll help shape creative concepts and craft compelling copy that brings impactful ideas to life.

This opportunity is ideal for a creative with 4+ years' experience in a creative agency environment who is looking to continue building their craft, strengthen their conceptual thinking and grow their career within one of New Zealand's leading creative agencies.

The Role Will Include

  • Writing engaging and effective copy across a range of clients, briefs and campaigns.

  • Developing proactive creative ideas for existing and prospective clients.

  • Contributing to concept development from initial brief through to execution.

  • Collaborating closely with Art Directors, Designers, Strategists and Production teams to deliver integrated creative work.

  • Presenting creative concepts, scripts and written work internally and with clients.

  • Supporting the development of campaigns across multiple channels and platforms.

  • Collaborating with internal production teams, external partners and agency stakeholders to deliver creative work.

  • Attending shoots and supporting creative development where required.

  • Building strong working relationships across the agency and contributing positively to team culture.

  • Creating work that is creatively ambitious, strategically sound and culturally relevant.

What We're Looking For

  • Approximately 4+ years' experience within a creative agency environment.

  • Strong conceptual thinking and idea generation skills.

  • Ability to craft compelling copy across multiple formats and mediums.

  • Appreciation and understanding of visual storytelling and creative collaboration.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craft.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Organised, proactive and motivated, with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A portfolio demonstrating strong creative thinking and effective campaign work.

  • A passion for creativity, culture and producing work that has impact.

  • Eagerness to learn, grow and contribute within a collaborative creative team.
