About the Role

Join Accenture's Nordic SAP Finance practice, working on S/4HANA transformation programs for large Danish and Nordic clients across manufacturing, life sciences, retail, energy, and shipping. You'll design and implement management accounting solutions that finance teams actually use — working closely with controllers and business finance stakeholders to translate cost and margin reporting needs into a working SAP design, then guiding it through build, test, cutover, and hypercare. You'll also lead a workstream team of typically 3–10 consultants, owning delivery quality and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate requirement workshops and fit-to-standard sessions with controllers, cost accountants, and business finance stakeholders
  • Design and configure SAP CO across all sub-modules: Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Cost Controlling, Material Ledger, Profitability Analysis, and Margin Analysis
  • Build and maintain the cost accounting master data concept: cost center hierarchies, cost element structures, activity types, statistical key figures, profit centers, and market segment characteristics
  • Support cost model design — standard and actual costing, overhead allocation, transfer pricing, and parallel valuation
  • Own CO integration points with FI, MM, SD, PP, PS, PM, and HR/Payroll; collaborate with the technical team on interfaces, custom developments, and data migration
  • Prepare and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing; support period-end simulation, cutover, and hypercare
  • Lead a small to medium-sized CO workstream team: plan and allocate work, review deliverables, manage risks, and develop junior consultants
  • Advise clients on process improvement, reporting rationalization, and close acceleration

    • Degree in finance, accounting, business administration, industrial engineering, or IT
    • 5+ years of hands-on SAP CO configuration, including at least one full implementation lifecycle
    • Strong practical knowledge across CO sub-modules, with solid understanding of management accounting principles — able to engage credibly with controllers beyond the IMG
    • Working knowledge of SAP FI and the CO–FI integration in New GL and the Universal Journal
    • Proven experience leading a delivery team or workstream, with accountability for quality and output
    • Ability to write clear functional specifications and communicate design decisions to both finance and technical audiences
    • Professional fluency in English; a Nordic language (Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian) is a strong advantage
