Amazon's Direct Tax Reporting team is seeking an International Tax Manager to work at the center of U.S. international tax compliance and provision, owning reporting across our multi-jurisdictional global structure. In this role, you’ll manage discrete matters as a single threaded owner of international tax deliverables including calculation workbooks and forms across GILTI/951A, BEAT, Subpart F, foreign tax credits (“FTC”), and/or outside stock basis. You'll also support the review of tax return and workpaper development for Amazon's internal reorganizations and cross-border M&A transactions.

If you're ready to apply your international tax expertise at scale across a broad, technically complex portfolio, this role offers both the depth and the breadth to keep you challenged.

Key job responsibilities
• Own, as single-threaded owner, a defined international tax reporting/compliance areas (e.g., M&A reporting, FTC, Subpart F/GILTI) end-to-end from data sourcing through final filing.

• Serve as the SME for your reporting area, resolving complex, judgment-based compliance questions.

• Build analyses, workpapers, and models that produce data-driven recommendations for tax leadership and business partners.

• Lead cross-functional resolution of reporting matters coordinating with Tax Controversy, Planning, Tax Provision, Transfer Pricing, and external advisors to align on treatment and close data/process gaps.

• Identify and drive process improvements automating, standardizing, or simplifying compliance workflows to scale with entity/transaction growth.

• Develop clear, concise deliverables and narratives that align business partners and senior stakeholders on complex compliance positions.

• Mentor and develop junior team members, and contribute to hiring decisions and team knowledge-building efforts.

• Review international tax compliance deliverables (Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, 8833, 8594, 8883, and various disclosure statements) with a high degree of accuracy.

A day in the life
On any given day, you might be driving resolution on a complex GILTI or FTC compliance question, leading a cross-functional discussion with Tax Controversy or Transfer Pricing, or pushing a process improvement from concept through implementation. You bring deep working knowledge across GILTI/951A, Subpart F, foreign tax credits, and BEAT, and you know how to turn that expertise into clear, well-supported recommendations for senior stakeholders.

You don't just execute. You influence decisions, move quickly on reversible calls, and invest in the growth of the people around you.

About the team
Amazon's Direct Tax Reporting team is where complex U.S. federal international tax compliance and provision gets done accurately, at scale, and in close partnership with the business. We work closely with Tax Planning, Tax Provision, Transfer Pricing, Tax Controversy, and external advisors to translate technical tax positions into well-documented, audit-ready filings, and we invest heavily in process improvement and automation to scale with Amazon's growth.
