Role Description
The Senior Director of Loyalty, Digital Enablement and Network Products Lead will be a key member of Visa’s Product Office, which is accountable for financial and operational performance of Issuing Solutions in North America. This role will be specifically responsible for working with the head of the product office to help tell the story of how Visa’s issuer service offerings, such as our Visa Digital Enablement SDK, other offerings, and partnerships come together to solve client needs/use cases and drives telling of this story through various channels (critically including direct client conversations). This individual will also work closely with other leaders across the team to provide real-time market insights, intake and triage client needs and coordinate roadmaps, and share feedback on ongoing go-to-market efforts. This position can be based in the San Francisco Bay area with minimal travel expected. The role reports to the VP, Value-Added Services (VAS) for North America.
This selected leader must have organizational savvy and interpersonal skills to build fast rapport and credibility. Close collaboration with both regional and global leaders is essential, as is a deep experience in Product development and client engagement. The focus of the role is regional delivery of client-relevant solutions, however, this leader must also have a solid grasp of the commercial dynamics to generate sustained, scalable revenue streams from these Solutions. A commercial mindset is especially key as this leader will help extend the value of Visa’s Issuing Solutions products for future growth.
Responsibilities:
- Execute on a multi-year strategy for the regional foundational solutions VAS business, which considers nuances relevant to the specific region (e.g., fintech ecosystem, available payment methods, local banking regulation, mix of digital payments, issuer ecosystem, opportunities for inorganic growth…).
- Closely partner with Global Issuing Solutions leaders to deliver on-time, on-budget VAS Products in the region.
- Support and deliver regional product roadmaps that extend Visa’s relevance beyond our core network assets. This includes:
- Structure solutions to address challenges among regional Issuing clients,
- Align regional priorities with Objectives and Key Results for Visa’s Global Issuing Solutions business,
- Identify and inform the Global Issuing Solutions product leaders of local market changes, client feedback, and product requirements,
- Deliver best in class Products and services that exceed client expectations,
- Partner with regional Commercialization leaders to build, execute, and monitor go-to-market motions so Solutions are easy to sell and easy to buy. This includes:
- Develop a Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, which may include new products, bundles, or campaigns, based on local market needs,
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including Sales and Client Services to execute the GTM strategy,
- Structure client implementations built on Global guidance to ensure a seamless and effective rollout of new solutions,
- Enable Visa and partner Sales channels,
- Inform pricing guidelines with market intelligence, and
- Partner with GTM, Commercialization, and Strategy Lead to shape regionally-relevant Sales narratives across client segments, which are tightly aligned with Product roadmaps.
- Architect client-centric joint solutions including build, implementation, and post-launch optimization:
- Support selling teams in understanding clients’ business and technical needs and defining solutions to meet them,
- Link Issuing Solutions with other Visa Product Domains and Client Segments (Acceptance, Risk) to provide greatest value to the client,
- Lead a team that provides pre-sales technical advice
- Support in development of business cases to support prioritization efforts
- Serve as conduit for gathering client feedback, and synthesizing feedback for product requirement purposes to ensure “voice of the customer” is represented
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years of relevant work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or 5 years relevant work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- Demonstrated ability to work with large, cross-functional (e.g. product, sales, strategy, marketing) matrixed, ambiguous and cross-regional environments
- Demonstrated ability to build sustainable, collaborative relationships with regulators, industry groups and governments
- Ability to work independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to stakeholders and to juggle multiple initiatives at once
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor addressing a wide variety of opportunities and threats
- Ability to quickly assess an opportunity's potential, leveraging fact-based analyses and industry experience
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines
- Experience of working in a global matrix organization with the ability to navigate complex structures and empower decision-making locally.
- A deep understanding of one or more dimensions of the payment industry
- Proven track record of B2B product commercialization and delivery
