At Bristol Myers Squibb, our employees often ask, “Who are you working for?”—a question that fuels collaboration, accountability, and urgency in our work. Our purpose-driven culture inspires us to discover, develop, and deliver innovative medicines to prevail over serious diseases. We offer uniquely interesting and meaningful work, opportunities for growth, and a supportive environment that values inclusion, wellbeing, flexibility, and comprehensive benefits. This is work that transforms the lives of patients, and the careers of those who do it.

Summary:

Bristol Myers Squibb is building a leading Neuroscience franchise focused on addressing areas of significant unmet need across serious neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases. We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and experienced Director, HCP Marketing – Long Term Care Strategy to join the US Neuroscience Commercial team supporting Alzheimer’s Disease Psychosis (ADP). This role is a critical driver of our Long-Term Care (LTC) go-to-market launch strategy, responsible for uncovering key LTC customer insights and identifying marketplace needs to maximize access, increase education around diagnosis and treatment, and build a consistent approach to engaging key LTC customers — including professional associations, pharmacy organizations, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), assisted living facilities, memory clinics, and LTC HCP treatment influencers and decision makers.

This role will support the investigational indication (Alzheimer's Disease Psychosis – ADP), which is currently under development and has not yet been approved by the FDA.

The Director, HCP Marketing, Long-term Care (LTC) Strategy will report to the Alzheimer’s HCP Lead and drive the development of the overall long-term care market strategy of the brand while leading the management and execution of LTC marketing tactics, plans and activities to promote the brand to LTC healthcare stakeholders.

This role is responsible for customizing materials and resources for the LTC market, while ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy, and regulatory standards. This marketer will deliver impactful communications that meaningfully engage key LTC market stakeholders and will play a key leadership role within the marketing team.

This role will partner across key internal cross functional areas (i.e., field leadership, regional marketing, medical, regulatory, legal, compliance, market access, customer experience, marketing operations, training, sales, etc.) to execute the marketing programs and tactics identified in the brand and launch plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for uncovering key LTC customer insights and identifying marketplace needs to maximize access, increase education around diagnosis and treatment, and to build a consistent approach to interact with key Long-Term Care (LTC) customers, including professional associations, pharmacy organizations, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, memory clinics and the LTC HCP treatment influencers and decision makers
  • Based on insights, lead the development and execution of LTC marketing initiatives, educational materials and resources designed to inform, and support LTC healthcare providers working in and supporting residents in LTC facilities, including physicians, pharmacists, nursing, and administrators.
  • Partner with the Director of Medical Education and KOL Strategy and Medical Affairs to coordinate the LTC speaker program plans, including speaker identification, onboarding, and ongoing management.
  • Working with key stakeholders, develop scientifically accurate, compliant, and brand-aligned LTC speaker content and materials that emphasize safety, empathy, and resident-focused storytelling.
  • Serve as the primary marketing liaison to the field teams for the LTC setting, ensuring alignment between LTC marketing initiatives and field-based LTC HCP engagement efforts designed to promote growth of the brand.
  • Directs the development of strategic LTC marketing programs for inclusion in the brand plans, determines metrics for LTC program success, and evaluates performance against metrics including contributions to the development and evolution of message strategy based upon in-depth analytics and ROI analysis.
  • Leads the LTC investments with a strong attention to detail for continuing launch excellence.
  • Manages within the established US LTC promotional budget for assigned products.
  • Represents the department as a member of cross-functional project teams providing guidance, insight, and recommendations relative to the goals and objectives of the LTC Marketing function to ensure strategic alignment across groups.
  • Monitors and ensures that all Medical Legal Review (MLR) processes are followed, and all LTC market programs are compliant with legal guidance and corporate policies.
  • Implements the LTC brand strategy for products and product lines. Develops and delivers presentations as needed to commercial management and other internal groups. Monitors progress of plans and recommends adjustments, as necessary.
  • Develops and maintains strong external relationships with key LTC stakeholders, professional associations, and LTC specific key opinion leaders.
  • Lead day-to-day collaboration with the advertising agency of record, providing LTC strategic direction and hands-on oversight across creative development and execution to ensure LTC customer-facing campaigns are aligned with the overall brand strategy, patient-centric principles, timelines, and budget.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required; life sciences degree or equivalent desirable; MBA or graduate degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive pharmaceutical and/or biopharmaceutical commercial experience
  • Minimum 5 years of direct Long-term care market experience i.e., field or marketing or similar role preferred
  • Proficient in marketing and media tactics directed towards LTC HCPs and caregivers.
  • Success with launching a brand or major indications preferred
  • Demonstrated success in the evaluation of launch barriers and accelerators; and implementation of new initiatives, plan modifications and capturing new opportunities.
