Shape the future of secure communications for the world's most critical missions. As a Principal Technical Business Developer for AWS Wickr | TEMEG, you define strategy and lead customers and cross-functional teams to solve problems of high ambiguity and high impact.

You own the strategic roadmap and drive cross-organizational alignment on priorities and delivery. You leverage deep technical expertise and executive-level stakeholder management to deliver solutions from concept through customer adoption. You bring proven experience architecting large-scale distributed systems and apply that expertise to commercial and government customers. You are data- and metric-driven, and relentlessly focused on performance in resource-constrained environments.

AWS Wickr is an end-to-end encrypted collaboration platform trusted by organizations with the most stringent security requirements. With 256-bit encryption, US and Global security level certifications such as FedRAMP, and deployment options spanning cloud-native to tactical environments, Wickr protects critical communications for customers that cannot compromise on security. We deliver secure messaging, voice and video calling, file sharing, and screen sharing—all protected by encryption where only intended recipients hold the decryption keys.

If you're driven to lead at the intersection of security innovation and mission-critical impact, this is the role for you.

If Arlington, VA (Arlington HQ2):

This role will sit in our new headquarters in Northern Virginia, where Amazon will invest $2.5 billion dollars, occupy 4 million square feet of energy efficient office space, and create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs. Our employees and the neighboring community will also benefit from the associated investments from the Commonwealth including infrastructure updates, public transportation improvements, and new access to Reagan National Airport.

By working together on behalf of our customers, we are building the future one innovative product, service, and idea at a time. Are you ready to embrace the challenge? Come build the future with us.

This position requires that the candidate selected must be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain a security clearance at the TS/SCI with polygraph level. Upon start, the selected candidate will be sponsored for a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities
This role requires working across business, product, and engineering teams — bringing the voice of the customer to drive solutions while communicating critical business needs to senior leadership.

- Define and execute the business development strategy for AWS Wickr | TEMEG across commercial and government sectors, owning the full lifecycle from opportunity identification through deal closure
- Serve as the primary executive interface with customers, translating mission-critical requirements into product roadmap priorities for engineering teams
- Drive cross-organizational alignment across product, engineering, sales, and partner teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Build and manage a pipeline of strategic opportunities, communicating status, risks, and growth trajectory to senior AWS leadership
- Identify and cultivate partner ecosystem relationships that accelerate market adoption and expand Wickr | TEMEG footprint in high-security environments
- Own business metrics and deliver data-driven recommendations that influence investment decisions at the organizational level
- Mentor and develop junior business development team members, raising the bar on strategic thinking across the organization

A day in the life
Your week balances strategic customer engagement with internal product influence. You might start Monday in a classified briefing with a DoD or IC customer, translating their operational challenges into solution requirements. By midweek, you're leading a product review with Wickr engineering, advocating for features that address gaps you've identified in the field. You regularly present pipeline updates and strategic recommendations to AWS senior leadership, and you collaborate with partner teams to architect joint solutions for tactical and enterprise environments. No two weeks look the same — but every week, you're driving decisions that shape how the world's most security-conscious organizations communicate.
