About the role
Original posting provided by amazon
This is a unique opportunity to work where financial analysis meets technology. You will use tools like Amazon QuickSight and other AI-based platforms to consolidate complex data into dynamic, usable reports. If you are a self-starter with a strong foundation in financial statements and accounting concepts who thrives on turning raw numbers into executive-ready narratives, we want to hear from you.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and build automated reporting for Income Statement results, highlighting trends, outliers, and actionable opportunities for AWS leadership.
- Collaborate with partner finance teams to identify data sources, understand business drivers, and develop KPIs that support cost efficiency and revenue growth across AWS.
- Use Amazon QuickSight and other AI-based tools to model, consolidate, and transform complex data sets into dynamic financial reports and analyses.
- Drive core financial processes including monthly and quarterly business reviews, risk and opportunity assessments, and month-end close activities.
- Audit data for accuracy, identify root causes of discrepancies, and implement process improvements that strengthen financial controls and reporting quality.
A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing the latest Income Statement outputs, verifying data accuracy and flagging anomalies before a cross-functional sync with partner finance teams. From there, you could shift to building a new QuickSight dashboard that consolidates data from multiple sources into a single view for leadership. In the afternoon, you may prepare a narrative summarizing key financial trends for an upcoming business review, then wrap up by refining an automation that reduces manual steps in a recurring reporting workflow.
