Job Description
We are seeking a Manager, ERO Shared Services, to join State Street’s Enterprise Resiliency Office (ERO). The ERO Shared Services team serves as a centralized, multi-skilled execution and support capability that enables the consistent, efficient, and scalable delivery of resiliency activities across the organization. Acting as an implementation and assurance engine, the team supports Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Testing & Exercising, Third-Party Resilience, and Risk & Compliance programs through structured execution, governance support, reporting, analytics, and process management activities.
In this role, you will support the delivery of key resilience initiatives by partnering with ERO teams, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts across the enterprise. You will help coordinate resiliency activities, maintain critical documentation and evidence, support governance and reporting processes, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of resilience frameworks and capabilities. You will also play a role in consistency, standardization, and operational efficiency through the use of common processes, templates, quality assurance practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working across multiple ERO workstreams, you will gain broad exposure to operational resilience disciplines while helping the organization strengthen its ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptions. Primary Roles/Responsibilities:
Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Support
- Support the execution of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity activities across legal entities, critical business services, and business units.
- Assist with self-assessments, impact tolerance reviews, continuity planning activities, testing coordination, testing quality assurance, Third party due diligence reviews and evidence management.
- Maintain inventories, trackers, documentation repositories, and supporting artefacts.
- Coordinate periodic reviews and updates to resiliency documentation and supporting records.
Governance & Reporting
- Produce management information, dashboards, metrics, and progress reports for leadership and governance forums.
- Support preparation of governance materials, committee packs, presentations, and executive reporting.
- Track action items, issues, risks, and remediation activities arising from resilience assessments, audits, exercises, and regulatory reviews.
- Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of reporting and governance records.
Shared Services Delivery
- Execute repeatable and operationally intensive activities within the Shared Services service catalogue.
- Support standardization of processes, templates, methodologies, and documentation.
- Perform quality assurance reviews and validation checks to improve consistency and data quality.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to centralize activities and improve process efficiency.
Regulatory, Audit & Issue Management Support
- Assist with regulatory requests, audit inquiries, evidence collection, and documentation reviews.
- Support issue management activities including action tracking, status reporting, and remediation monitoring.
- Contribute to the preparation of materials supporting regulatory submissions and resilience attestations.
Data Analysis & Process Improvement
- Analyze resilience data and identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Support workflow optimization, automation initiatives, and process enhancement activities.
- Assist in reducing manual effort through improved reporting, data management, and technology utilization.
- Contribute to the development of scalable operating procedures and controls.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with ERO teams and business stakeholders to support delivery of resilience objectives.
- Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners.
- Provide timely updates on deliverables, dependencies, and execution risks.
Key Qualifications:
- Min a Bachelor's degree.
- Overall, 10-15 years of work experience in the financial services sector is required.
- Min 2-5 years of experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Operations, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Understanding of Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Third-Party Risk, or Regulatory Risk frameworks preferred.
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, or enterprise-wide programs preferred.
- Experience with workflow automation, reporting tools, Power BI, ServiceNow, or process improvement initiatives preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CBCP, MBCP, ISO 22301 preferred.
- Experience supporting governance, reporting, documentation, or risk management processes required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and reporting tools.
