A day in the life
You start your shift by reviewing the previous shift's activity log and checking medical supply inventory. As associates arrive, you're on the floor greeting team members, conducting wellness check-ins, and coaching on safe work practices you observe in real time. When an associate reports discomfort or an injury, you assess the situation, provide first aid, document the encounter, and determine whether a referral to an outside provider is needed. Mid-shift, you may attend a safety committee meeting or a case management review with the WHS Site Manager, following up on return-to-work plans for associates recovering from injuries. Between interactions, you update case records, prepare appointment cards, and restock supplies. You wrap up your day by completing your end-of-shift report and briefing the incoming OMR on any open cases or follow-ups. No two days are exactly alike—you might facilitate a CPR certification class one day and respond to an emergency the next—but every day centers on keeping associates safe, healthy, and supported.
