Job Description
Role Summary:
The Cyber Security Engineering function is dedicated to safeguarding the organization’s technology infrastructure and data assets through comprehensive security measures across all domains of cybersecurity. Individual contributors in this job family are responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of security architectures, controls, and systems. They ensure compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management across diverse technology environments.
- Design, implement, and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
- Develop, promote, and integrate secure coding and application development practices, including DevSecOps and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
- Architect and implement security solutions for cloud, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
- Implement data protection, privacy engineering, and compliance controls in accordance with corporate, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Develop, customize, and automate security tools, processes, and operational procedures.
- Monitor network and application security, detect and analyze emerging threats, and proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Oversee and execute incident response planning, investigation, and mitigation activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development and operations teams to embed security throughout business processes.
- Evaluate new technologies and security risks, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions to support business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement and technical innovation to maintain a secure and resilient environment.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialist: 4 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in conducting security assessments and penetration testing.
- Experience in designing and implementing identity and access management solutions.
- Experience in secure coding and application development practices.
- Experience in architecting security solutions for cloud and hybrid environments.
- Experience in implementing data protection and privacy engineering controls.
- Experience in developing and automating security tools and operational procedures.
- Experience in monitoring network and application security.
- Experience in incident response planning and execution.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed security in business processes.
- Experience in driving technical innovation and continuous improvement in cybersecurity.
- Experience in developing secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
- Experience in providing technical expertise to support business objectives.
