Are you a customer-obsessed builder with deep expertise in enterprise migration and modernization? Do you have the strategic acumen and technical fluency to help customers design and execute successful large-scale migration programs to AWS? Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) within the Automotive & Manufacturing team as a Migration & Modernization Specialist. This is a senior business development role requiring strong technical understanding, exceptional communication skills, and proven experience in complex cloud migration and application modernization journeys. We work backwards from our customers' most complex migration challenges to develop and execute go-to-market plans that transform legacy infrastructure into modern, cloud-native architectures. As part of WWSO, you will contribute across the full lifecycle of AWS customer migration initiatives—from initial business case development through program execution and value realization.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will translate customer business challenges into comprehensive migration strategies and programs leveraging AWS. You will design, align, and articulate complex business cases for large-scale migration initiatives that accelerate adoption of AWS services across storage, applications, and infrastructure domains. You will engage with C-suite executives, senior engineers, architects, and infrastructure leaders at strategic enterprise customers to influence migration decisions and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
As the ideal candidate, you bring strong technical fluency across multiple domains in enterprise migrations and exceptional business development acumen required to lead complex data center exit programs with large enterprises. You have a proven track record in migration and modernization pre-sales or consulting, with the ability to effectively communicate from boardrooms to software development engineers.

Core Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies and programs for Migration and Modernization initiatives targeting AWS's largest and most strategic global customers in the Automotive & Manufacturing industry
• Lead business development efforts for migration and modernization opportunities, collaborating with Specialist Solution Architects and field sales teams to execute GTM strategies
• Design large-scale migration programs that align technical execution with business outcomes, including wave planning, stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and success metrics
• Build, align, and articulate complex business cases including TCO analysis, ROI modeling, risk assessment, and value realization frameworks for enterprise migration initiatives
• Engage with C-suite executives and board members to communicate migration strategy, business value, and transformation roadmaps
• Orchestrate cross-functional teams in highly complex settings, providing indirect leadership across customer stakeholders, AWS sales teams and leadership, solution architects, strategic pricing teams, and partner organizations
• Collaborate with AWS Migration Competency Partners, consulting partners, and ISVs to design comprehensive migration solutions and delivery models
• Support field marketing through executive events, campaigns, and strategic customer engagements
• Represent the voice of the customer and collaborate with field and central teams to bring migration feedback to product teams
• Act as a thought leader in Migration & Modernization by sharing best practices through AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking engagements such as AWS Summits and AWS re:Invent

A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing pipeline metrics and preparing a business case for a new partnership opportunity. By midday, you are leading a negotiation call with a prospective partner, aligning on terms that unlock value for both sides. In the afternoon, you collaborate with product managers to translate partner feedback into feature requests, then close out the day by coaching a teammate on deal strategy. Your work directly connects partners, products, and customers in ways that move the business forward.

About the team
Our team is focused on building and scaling strategic partnerships that create lasting value for Amazon and our customers. We operate at the intersection of technology and business, working closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to bring new opportunities to life. We value collaboration, creative problem-solving, and a willingness to tackle complex challenges. If you are looking for a role where your contributions are visible, your growth is supported, and your ideas can shape the direction of the business, this is the team for you.
