We're looking for customer-obsessed server side software engineers who are interested in working on large scale, highly distributed systems. As an engineer in AFFS, you will be part of a team of high performing engineers to build, scale, monitor, and optimize services that are the foundation for Amazon's financial reporting. We reliably handle data in high volume and velocity. You will interface with teams and systems inside and outside of our org including Business Systems, Financial Systems, and Accounting. Our mission is to provide a world-class customer experience through a data-driven approach and scalable and robust software.

A successful candidate will be a self-starter and fast learner with an established background in developing high volume and highly available services, strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a dynamic fast paced environment.

Key job responsibilities
*Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design.
* Navigate ambiguity, make data-driven decisions, move fast with short-term and long-term trade offs.
* Develop, test, optimize and scale features on highly available services.
* Dive into architecture, code, metrics to drive operational excellence.
* Keep pace with rapidly changing technology, bringing new technologies on board with the team.

Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
