What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
1. Engineering & Asset Management
· Lead all engineering, maintenance, utilities, facilities, and infrastructure activities.
· Ensure reliability and availability of manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facilities.
· Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
· Drive asset lifecycle management and long-term equipment replacement strategy.
· Manage calibration, qualification, and engineering compliance activities.
· Lead troubleshooting of critical equipment failures and systemic issues.
· Ensure engineering support for production, quality, and supply chain objectives.
2. Capital Projects & Site Development
· Develop and manage the site CAPEX portfolio.
· Lead design, execution, qualification, and commissioning of engineering projects.
· Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with corporate standards.
· Identify opportunities for modernization, automation, digitalization, and energy optimization.
· Support site expansion and strategic investment initiatives.
3. EHS Leadership
· Establish and maintain a robust EHS Management System.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable local regulations, environmental requirements, and company EHS standards.
· Lead risk identification, risk assessments, and mitigation programs.
· Oversee industrial hygiene, occupational health, process safety, emergency preparedness, and environmental protection programs.
· Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and culture.
· Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and ensure effective CAPA implementation.
· Provide strategic EHS guidance to the Site Leadership Team.
4. Compliance & Governance
· Ensure inspection readiness at all times.
· Lead internal and external engineering and EHS audits.
· Maintain compliance with ISO, EHS, quality, and local regulatory requirements.
· Ensure all engineering changes are managed through approved change-control processes.
· Escalate critical engineering or EHS risks to site leadership.
5. Operational Excellence
· Deploy continuous improvement initiatives across Engineering and EHS functions.
· Monitor and improve KPIs related to reliability, maintenance effectiveness, safety, environmental performance, utilities efficiency, and project execution.
· Support IMEx/OpEx initiatives and integrate EHS requirements into operational excellence programs.
6. Leadership & People Development
· Build a high-performing Engineering and EHS organization.
· Develop technical and leadership capabilities within the team.
· Foster accountability, collaboration, innovation, and ownership.
· Coach managers, engineers, technicians, EHS ambassadors, and subject matter experts.
· Promote an inclusive and safety-first culture throughout the site.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
BA/BS with at least 6 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 5 years of experience or PhD/JD with at least 1 year of experience or MD/DVM with any years of experience
Strong background in supervision or management roles within the pharmaceutical industry
Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma tools
Robust people management skills
Proactive approach in engaging with key stakeholders
Experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):
Advanced degree (Master's, PhD, JD, MD, DVM) in a relevant field
Experience in talent management and development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to drive innovation and manage change
Experience in budget planning and financial management
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory compliance
Ability to manage Pfizer direct reports effectively
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Experience in strategic planning and execution
Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
