EVINOVA - DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing and delivering Evinova’s marketing strategy and strengthening the company’s position as a differentiated digital health partner to the clinical trials industry. This individual will translate Evinova’s AI-enabled platform—including the Unified Trial Solution (UTS), Remote Patient Monitoring, Study Design & Optimization, Portfolio Management, and Digital Strategy Consulting—together with AstraZeneca’s heritage, into clear market positioning that builds credibility with clinical trial teams, sponsors, and life sciences partners across pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
The Director will work closely with Commercial Leadership, Product, Solutions, Clinical Operations, and other subject-matter experts across Evinova. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced life sciences or health technology marketer who can set strategy while personally driving execution in a fast-growing, regulated commercial environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Positioning and Brand Strategy
- Define differentiated positioning that communicates Evinova’s patient-centered approach, enterprise scale, and core capabilities, including the Unified Trial Solution, Remote Patient Monitoring, ePRO/eCOA integration, Study Design & Optimization, Portfolio Management, and partner interoperability.
Content, Thought Leadership, and Communications
- Lead content and communications across case studies, thought leadership, presentations, webinars, conferences, press, web, and social media channels, Translating clinical and platform results into credible proof points.
- Manage external agencies and content partners as needed.
Commercial and Sales Enablement
- Partner with Commercial and Business Development teams to support pipeline generation and strategic opportunities.
Digital Marketing and Demand Generation
- Own the website, content management system, marketing automation, LinkedIn presence, and targeted digital campaigns.
Conferences and Industry Presence
- Develop a commercially focused conference strategy that prioritizes relevant events, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, executive thought leadership, targeted customer engagement, and supporting outreach and follow-up.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Experience
- 8+ or more years of progressive B2B marketing experience.
- Substantial experience in clinical trial technology, digital health, life sciences services, or a closely related sector.
Industry Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the clinical research ecosystem.
- Knowledge of how pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other life sciences sponsors evaluate and select digital trial and clinical technology partners.
Clinical Trial Technology Experience
- Direct experience marketing digital trial platforms, remote patient monitoring solutions, or clinical trial data and analytics solutions is strongly preferred.
- Experience working closely with commercial organizations in the clinical trial technology sector is also advantageous.
Commercial Orientation
- Demonstrated ability to build marketing programs and content that support business development, pipeline generation, and revenue growth—not solely brand awareness.
Positioning and Messaging
- Proven ability to translate complex clinical, product, and technology capabilities into clear, differentiated, and credible market positioning.
Content Development
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
- Demonstrated experience developing executive-level presentations, case studies, website content, thought leadership materials, and sales collateral.
Digital Marketing
- Experience with digital marketing, customer relationship management (CRM), marketing automation, website and content management systems, analytics, social media, and targeted demand-generation programs.
Clinical Fluency
- Sufficient knowledge of clinical trials and clinical operations to work effectively with clinical experts.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Advanced degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field is a plus.
Communication
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, clinical experts, commercial teams, sponsors, and external partners.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $ 210,692.00 - 316,038.00 USD Annual. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
