As a Core Operation Associate, you will be involved in:
Interact internally with global Centres of Excellence, Client Operations teams, business unit Shared Service teams and Joint Venture operations teams to complete applicable day-to-day activities, relating to the overall processing for assigned clients and portfolios.
A solid understanding of the settlement process, along with the ability to analyze clearing house activities (DTC, DTCC, CREST, Euroclear) to confirm that pre- and post-settlement steps are properly followed.
Ability to review faxed and electronic instructions from the sales and trading desk, validate them against static data, and understand reconciliation and enrichment processes.
Work closely with team members, shared services, and Client Operations to ensure smooth processing in line with the fund’s policies.
Familiar with back-up procedures when system application and/or transmission issues occur. Supports individual and team efforts in researching and resolving exceptions and inquiries, building Prime Broker relationships, and liaising as needed to obtain help with exception resolution.
During normal day-to-day operations, responsible for identifying unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and reporting and/or escalating it in line with corporate policy and the relevant operating procedures.
Collaborate with the internal settlements and reconciliation team to assess whether trade booking, trade capturing, validation, enrichment activities, and any amendments are in line with market guidelines and internal cut-offs.
Should be familiar with the trade life cycle and have a fair understanding of the various guidelines (ISITC, IFSA, TMPG and GBP guidelines), as well as a good understanding of claims flow.
Good understanding of NOSTRO and other payment systems (MT202, Fed wire, CREST). Familiar with different types of Swift message (MT299, 300, 199, 399, 546 etc.)and their usage.
Should have strong exposure to initiating client/ Counterparty / third-party calls and should have worked on a process improvement project.

Minimum 4 years of related custody and/ or fund accounting experience

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with business related coursework Accounting Finance preferred.
