Overview:
The Mastercard Transaction Stream team is involved in developing cutting-edge solutions to deliver the Next Generation of Core Payment Products for Mastercard. These cutting-edge solutions are built on the Digital Network Architecture, Cloud Native principles and in a Scaled Agile Framework.
As the Software Engineer I of Transaction Stream team, you will be responsible for decomposing business requirements and customer experiences into features and functions that drive the platform/product Quality, Validation, and delivery.
The Role:
• Work as a integration team member to deliver end-to-end product validation for Transaction Switching Solutions
• Play a crucial part in helping drive Quality to help build and ship better products.
• Practice test engineering methodologies, Mastercard standards and help build high quality software.
• Help make Quality as an integral part of the development process.
• Proactively monitor customer insights and production issues to seek quality feedback and improve processes to enhance quality of the product/capability.
• Drive quality automation and self-service culture as a part of software delivery practices.
• Acts as first-review for project-level reviews, walkthroughs and inspections.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with various global groups in MasterCard to ensure success of the projects, including Business Owners, Product Owners, Enterprise Architecture teams, Other product teams etc.
All About You:
• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Experience on test engineering is preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to details. (Must)
• Good at test strategy analysis systematically and delivery focused. (Must)
• Experience in Unit, Functional and Integration testing. (Must)
• Practical exposure in building and using test automation framework with Java. (Preferred)
• Experience testing across a variety of platforms: Microservices, Event Driven Applications, and Databases (Preferred)
• Experienced in different protocols testing (SFTP/sockets/HTTPs/RPC..etc) and familiar with CI/CD pipeline (Must)
• Working knowledge of payment simulation tools such as t3 or equivalent, cards and payment flows, and ISO payment protocols (8583/20022) (Must)
• Strong knowledge of cards and payments domain, message flow and formats. (Preferred)
• Understanding of cloud-based platform architecture and familiar with micro service test (Preferred)
• Passionate about emerging technologies and trends, especially Event Driven Architecture and modern caching/persistence mechanisms
• Experience in working with Digital Native Architecture, Spring Boot framework and Cloud technology (preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry) (Preferred)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills involving Business Owners, Architecture teams, Development/Test teams, Vendors etc.
• Understanding, inclination and experience of working in an Agile (SaFe) environment (Preferred)
