Responsibilities
How You'll Make an Impact
Strategic Deal Leadership
- Shape and structure complex customer agreements that drive customer success and business growth.
- Develop creative commercial solutions that balance customer objectives with Microsoft's strategic priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the deal lifecycle, providing guidance on licensing, pricing, and commercial strategy.
Negotiation & Commercial Excellence
- Partner with customers and Microsoft sales teams to develop mutually beneficial pricing, licensing, and contractual solutions.
- Support negotiations that accelerate deal closure while preserving long-term customer and business value.
- Evaluate complex commercial scenarios and deliver recommendations that support informed decision-making.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Business Planning, and Product teams to solve challenges and advance opportunities.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and align teams around successful customer outcomes.
- Foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives contribute to better solutions.
Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure agreement strategies align with Microsoft policies, compliance requirements, and governance standards.
- Identify risks and develop practical mitigation strategies that support sound business decisions.
- Help maintain consistency and operational excellence across customer engagements.
Continuous Improvement & Organizational Impact
- Share insights, best practices, and lessons learned to strengthen commercial capabilities across the organization.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer and seller experience.
- Contribute to scalable solutions and innovations that improve how Microsoft engages with customers globally.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field AND 6+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience partnering across cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations, Product, or Business Planning to achieve business objectives OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• 9+ years of sales, negotiation, and contracting experience
Commercial Deal Making IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $107,600 - $187,500 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,600 - $205,600 per year.
