Job Overview

This role is part of the International Personal Bank (IPB) Client Origination team, a dynamic group within Citi Wealth responsible for driving new client acquisition and business growth. The position focuses on expanding our international client base by developing strategic partnerships, commercializing new digital technologies, and executing high-impact marketing and engagement initiatives.

In this role, you’re expected to:

As a key member of the IPB Client Origination team, you will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic partnerships, digital commercialization, and best-in-class project execution. You will support the development and implementation of initiatives that expand our client base and deepen our market penetration, particularly within the international personal banking segment.

Responsibilities:

  • Business & Partnership Development: Drive business development and client origination initiatives to achieve key performance indicators, including revenue growth, New-to-Bank (NTB) clients, and Net New Investment Assets (NNIA). Develop and manage strategic partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to create new client acquisition channels.

  • Digital Commercialization: Drive the commercialization of new digital platforms and client-facing technologies by identifying innovative use cases and developing promotional campaigns to maximize client adoption and business growth.

  • Client Engagement & Execution: Forge strong partnerships with key internal stakeholders—from frontline sales and product teams to marketing and control functions—to drive the seamless, end-to-end execution of client engagement initiatives (events, campaigns, seminars, and offers).

  • Strategic Analysis & Reporting: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and intelligence to identify new business opportunities. Prepare data-driven analysis, business forecasts, and compelling presentations for senior management to report on performance and strategic direction.

  • Governance & Project Execution: Support the planning and execution of key business projects, ensuring that robust control and governance frameworks are designed and embedded from the outset to ensure operational soundness and compliance. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, project management, or partnership management, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

  • A commercial mindset with a proven ability to turn digital tools into business opportunities. Experience in designing promotional campaigns or identifying new use cases for technology to drive client adoption is highly desirable.

  • A strong understanding of risk management and governance, with experience in designing controls for business initiatives.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to conduct business forecasting and performance analysis. Excellent analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights for management.

  • Superior communication skills with a proven ability to create clear, compelling presentations and reports suitable for senior management.

  • A proactive, self-driven attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines.

  • A collaborative mindset focused on achieving success together with stakeholders. Proven ability to proactively identify and resolve project bottlenecks.

  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). Professional proficiency in Mandarin is essential for engaging with key client segments and partners.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
