Negotiate the deals that connect the world. Amazon Leo is seeking a Corporate Counsel - Commercial Transactions to lead complex enterprise agreements, technology partnerships, and channel partner transactions that fuel the expansion of a next-generation global satellite broadband network.

As a member of the Amazon Leo Legal team, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor to business teams across the organization. You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and support new business initiatives as Amazon Leo continues to grow and scale. This role requires a mix of legal acumen, commercial judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing legal team at the forefront of one of Amazon's most ambitious initiatives and play a key role in shaping the commercial legal strategy for a business with global reach.

This position can be based in Arlington, VA or Bellevue, WA.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current valid green card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities
- Draft and lead negotiations for strategic enterprise agreements, commercial transactions, technology partnerships, and channel partner agreements supporting Amazon Leo’s global connectivity business, with a focus on mobility engagements
- Advise business teams on legal, commercial, operational, and strategic considerations associated with large-scale customer and partnership engagements
- Develop practical and scalable legal frameworks that enable rapid business growth while appropriately managing organizational risk
- Partner cross-functionally with product, business development, operations, and compliance to support evolving commercial models and international expansion initiatives
- Help build efficient legal processes that support fast-moving technology and infrastructure businesses


A day in the life
Your day will combine strategic commercial counseling, sophisticated transaction negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work directly with business leaders and partner teams to structure enterprise agreements, support complex customer and channel partner negotiations, and advise on emerging commercial and operational issues tied to satellite connectivity and global infrastructure expansion.

Amazon Leo’s legal team is a collaborative group of commercial and technology attorneys supporting the development and expansion of next-generation satellite connectivity solutions. The team works closely with business leaders, engineers, product teams, and global partners to navigate complex legal and commercial challenges while enabling innovation at global scale.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of legal experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
