Retail and Marcom Engineering, an IS&T team, builds and operates the systems and experiences that connect Apple's products with its customers. The team owns the technology behind both Apple's online and physical stores and drives the interactive marketing experiences and tools that keep creative operations moving. Together, those functions deliver the technology behind every product story Apple tells and every purchase a customer makes.

Description

The Marcom Engineering team is looking for an experienced Technical Release Manager. You will combine your technical expertise with operational and project management skills as you plan, coordinate, and execute regular web releases as well as high-profile Apple events. Your attention to detail and ability to manage cross-functional workflows will be key to delivering stable, secure, and high-quality deployments. You will also own release cycles as they relate to operational efficiency and our CI/CD pipelines. Leveraging your knowledge of frontend technologies, CMS platforms, Next.js, backend systems, Git workflows, and automation tooling, you will help streamline delivery processes and improve deployment consistency across global digital experience.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end web releases, owning scheduling, readiness, deployment, and post-release validation..
Coordinate release readiness across frontend codebases, CMS platforms, backend services, and infrastructure dependencies..
Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and blockers while driving timely issue resolution.
Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, SRE, QA, and product partners to improve release reliability and operational efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement by refining release processes, documentation, and operational best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years experience in release coordination and DevOps for large-scale web platforms
Understanding of release pipelines, branching, CI/CD automation, configuration management, testing, or risk mitigation.
Experience working with Git workflows, CMS systems, and frontend deployment tooling (e.g., Next.js, Node.js, HTML/CSS).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience coordinating complex, deadline-driven releases across multiple engineering and business teams,
Familiarity with CMS platform, Jenkins, GitOps, ITIL frameworks. automation technologies such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins
Experience supporting high-visibility or global web releases..
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
