Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our National Security team supporting National Security Space and Sensor customers.

As a Solutions Architect on the AWS National Security Team, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to Intelligence Community (IC) customers—you are the "face of Amazon" to our most mission-critical customers. You will engage across a broad variety of complex technical challenges that directly impact national security outcomes. This is a high-visibility role where you collaborate with and influence both external stakeholders and internal AWS teams, including sales, platform engineering, and AI/ML service teams.

National Security Solutions Architects (SAs) are recognized as technical thought leaders within the Intelligence Community who evangelize emerging technologies—including agentic AI, machine learning, and computer vision—not only on a conceptual level, but on a practical, architectural level. You will design and deliver AI-powered solutions that enable agencies to extract actionable intelligence from complex data at scale.

If you are passionate about cloud technology, thrive in ambiguous problem spaces, and want your work to have direct mission impact, we'd like to talk to you.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical advisor and architectural authority for your customers, building deep trust with mission owners, program managers, and customer engineering leadership.
- Design and prototype secure, scalable, resilient architectures for large-scale sensor data processing —spanning ingest, storage, compute, analytics, and AI/ML inference at the edge and in the cloud.
- Lead technical engagements including architecture reviews, whiteboard sessions, proof-of-concepts, pilots, and Well-Architected reviews that accelerate customer adoption and mission outcomes.
- Evangelize and operationalize emerging AI capabilities—generative and agentic AI, foundation models, computer vision, and geospatial ML—translating concepts into deployable, accredited architectures.
- Architect portable, container-based solutions that leverage open-source technologies.
- Partner closely with Account Managers and Capture Managers on account strategy, technical qualification, opportunity shaping, and long-range mission roadmaps.
- Author and deliver technical content: reference architectures, reusable solution patterns, blog posts, whitepapers, demos, and workshops that scale your impact beyond individual engagements.
- Capture the voice of the customer and act as a conduit to AWS service teams, influencing the AWS product roadmap with mission-driven requirements and feature requests.
- Mentor peers and contribute to the technical community within the National Security team.
- This position can have periods of up to 20% travel.
