Senior Associate, Card Risk

As a Senior Associate in the Card Risk Office, you will be a key driver in the support and execution of our risk management process for change-based initiatives. Your role provides the operational backbone and professional risk coordination that enables our Card partners to navigate the execution of complex initiatives with confidence.

In this role, you will gain significant exposure across the division, partnering with business leads, first and second line advisors, and other risk partners to ensure new initiatives complete all the stages of the designated risk assessment in a consistent, timely, and well-documented way. You will thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment where accuracy, speed, and organizational excellence are the standards for success. This is an ideal role for an aspiring risk professional looking to master the intersection of business strategy and regulatory governance.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Facilitation and Coordination: Manage, coordinate, and facilitate key initiative inputs funneling in from various sources to ensure accurate and complete documentation is retained.

  • Agenda and Logistics Management: Lead the end-to-end logistics for sessions, including creating, communicating, and distributing agendas, as well as managing complex calendar invites.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Access Management: Act as a primary liaison across the enterprise, communicating effectively to resolve impediments and maintain program momentum.

  • Documentation and Output: Act as a "stickler" for high-quality documentation by reviewing records and coordinating updates to ensure alignment with both internal and external requirements.

  • Platform and Tool Management: Maintain the various tools required for team coordination, including various tracking systems, and shared mailboxes.

  • Process Improvement: Partner with the team to identify operational efficiencies that drive value and consistency across the organization.

Qualities of a Successful Candidate:

  • Highly Organized and Accurate: You are a detail-oriented professional who ensures no detail is missed and every output is auditable and consistent.

  • Fast and Action-Oriented: You can self-manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities at once, delivering results in a high-pressure environment.

  • Communicative and Influential: You possess excellent communication skills and are comfortable managing and influencing customers and stakeholders to ensure process requirements are met.

  • Collaborative Team Player: You value diverse perspectives and actively seek insights from others to reach common goals.

  • Adaptable: You are comfortable working in ambiguity and can quickly adjust as the program matures and expands.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 1 year of Project Management, Process Management, Risk, Legal or Compliance experience

  • At least 1 year of experience facilitating cross-functional meetings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 1+ years of experience partnering with stakeholders across different business functions
