Title and Summary
Director, Specialist Sales, Merchant CloudThe Sales & Commercialization team will be the primary sales muscle for driving new business on the Merchant Cloud business. They will work in close partnership with Regional and Market teams to identify new leads, initiate customer contact, and build strong deal structures for clients.Role:
• Lead channel-driven growth for Merchant Cloud across APAC, establishing and scaling strategic partnerships with Payment Facilitators, PSPs, ISVs and platform players to drive pipeline generation and achieve revenue targets.
•Develop and execute partner-specific go-to-market strategies, including joint value propositions, solution packaging and vertical targeting to accelerate Merchant Cloud adoption across partner portfolios.
•Identify and originate Merchant Cloud opportunities within co-brand and strategic partnerships, ensuring integration of gateway capabilities into broader Mastercard deal constructs across priority markets.
•Champion competitive differentiation of Merchant Cloud, clearly articulating value versus alternative gateways and in-house solutions to improve win rates in partner-led opportunities.
•Own end-to-end partner deal execution, including opportunity qualification, solution positioning, commercial structuring and contract negotiation to enable scalable, multi-market deployments.
•Utilise commercial levers to accelerate adoption, including market funds, partner incentive frameworks and existing customer agreements to expand Merchant Cloud penetration within partner ecosystems.
•Collaborate with account management and in-market teams to align on partner strategy, drive coordinated execution and ensure effective coverage of priority partner ecosystems.
•Track and analyse partner performance metrics, including pipeline conversion, deal velocity and adoption trends, to continuously refine engagement strategies and maximise revenue outcomes.
•Provide structured pipeline reporting and insights to regional leadership, ensuring transparency on key deals, risks and growth opportunities while supporting forecast accuracy and strategic decision-making.
