Working alongside experienced professionals across Corporate Development, Strategy, Finance, and Technology, you will help assess acquisition opportunities, identify financial risks, and support successful integrations.

As a Mergers & Acquisitions Specialist, you will serve as a trusted Financial Due Diligence advisor throughout the acquisition lifecycle, from opportunity assessment to deal completion and post-merger integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support acquisitions from the early evaluation stages through closing and post-deal integration activities

  • Partner closely with Accenture's Europe Financial Due Diligence Lead and Corporate Development teams

  • Analyze target companies' financial performance, profitability, and operational metrics to assess business quality and growth potential

  • Evaluate key balance sheet components, including net working capital and net financial debt

  • Identify financial risks, opportunities, and areas requiring further investigation during the due diligence process

  • Provide insights regarding transaction structures, purchase price adjustment mechanisms, and Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) negotiations

  • Support business, commercial, and financial integration activities to help maximize value creation following acquisitions

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Finance, Legal, Strategy, and Integration functions

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to role, level, seniority, responsibility, skillset, and level of experience. For this position, the job level is B2 under the Metalmeccanico National Collective Bargaining Agreement (C011). The gross annual salary range is between 33.059€ and 50.500€.

  • Degree in economic sciences, business administration, finance, or a related topic, ideally combined with a CA, ACA, CPA, MBA, or CFA qualification (completed or in the process of completion)

  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience – for example in financial due diligence or an audit role – within the M&A Due Diligence department of one of the big four professional services firms or another big corporation

  • Track record in working on several financial due diligence projects

  • In-depth skills in financial analysis and MS Excel and fluency in English
