Summary:
As a Database Administrator, your typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to support organizational needs. You will be responsible for installing database management systems and ensuring their smooth operation. Daily tasks include developing and refining procedures to manage routine maintenance and swiftly resolve any issues that arise, ensuring data integrity and availability. Collaboration with various teams to align database performance with business objectives is also a key part of your role, requiring a proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing complex data environments.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in database-related tasks.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain knowledge continuity.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience in database installation, configuration, and upgrading.
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery techniques to safeguard data.
- Ability to optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and resource management.
- Familiarity with database security practices and user access control.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues efficiently.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
