Role Summary
This full-time role supports OTC derivatives and Japan Markets Operations for Japanese investors, covering transaction processing and settlements across Rates & Currency, Credit, Equity, and Commodity Derivatives. Junior-Intermediate level position in OTC Derivatives Operations/Japan Markets Operations responsible for processing transaction and settlements originating from OTC Derivatives products.
Markets Operations in Japan supports various products such as Fixed Income, Equity, FX, SBL, and Futures for mostly Japanese investors. OTC Derivatives Operations is one of the dynamic organizations which faces the latest derivatives products across all asset classes from Tokyo and Okinawa.
We partner extensively with a range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, and Finance, alongside having significant interaction with our external client base, playing a key role in the overall client experience.
OTC Derivatives Operations requires expert knowledge of complex products and experiences which has been established by past cases for pre- and post- settlements.
Also, the team needs to comply with the change of business requirements and regulations, then establish the process with partners, especially in technology.
The team is expected to support a first-class experience for our clients, as Citi Japan is recognized as one of the top broker dealers in the market of Japan.
Role in OTC Derivatives Operation, covering OTC Derivative transaction on CGMJ and Citibank Tokyo entities
Responsibilities:
- Process settlements from derivative products. Communicate with external clients, and interactively liaison with internal and overseas operation to provide smooth and superior service
- Product class varies across Rates & Currency, Credit, Equity, and Commodity Derivatives.
- Handle multiple tasks at a time. Resolve settlement-related issues and escalate as needed.
- Monitor and maintain static data to keep accurate and compliant information in the firm. Engage in documentation and reporting required by regulators and clients on OTC derivatives products (blotter, monthly statements, etc.).
- Collaborate with the derivative confirmation team who process ISDA derivative documentation for non-centrally cleared derivatives transactions.
- Collaborate with the derivative CCP & margining team, who process CCP activities (JSCC) and margining.
- Provide formal and informal guidance, and/or on the job training to new team member.
- Achieve team performance excellence to ensure high quality and high volume productivity
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in related work experience is preferred
- Fundamental understanding of Financial products, Derivatives products, settlements, accounting is preferred.
