The Amazon Worldwide Grocery Category Management team is looking for a Category Manager, Baby, who will play a critical role developing category goals, strategies, and assortment tailored to our customers across Baby. They will be responsible for multiple facets of our multi-channel retail business (e.g., buying/vendor management, program management, trade planning, sourcing) including identifying and executing growth opportunities in high-momentum subcategories like chilled baby food, leading category resets, and delivering business results through data-rich, customer-centric product selection, pricing, presentation, and promotions.
The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated ability to operate independently, think strategically, analyze data, conduct business reviews, and lead winning negotiations. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, and exceptional communications are essential to success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
• Strategy & Innovation: Create data-driven customer centric category strategies that leverage customer insights, market trends, and competitive analysis.
• Drive Success: Take ownership of the financial performance for your category. Develop and execute seasonal strategies that align with our business goals.
• Curate Assortments: Collaborate with suppliers to bring the best products to our multi-channel grocery business. Lead line reviews, assortment planning, and item forecasting.
• Pricing & Promotion: Help shape pricing strategies that balance profitability with customer value. Work with marketing teams to support impactful promotional events.
• Item Management: Maintain accurate item level data that adhere to regulatory compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Instock, Operations, Trade Planning, Demand Planning and other teams to ensure smooth execution of category goals.
• Dive Deep & Test and Learn: Monitor category performance and adapt strategies based on data insights. Lead testing initiatives to continuously improve our offerings.
• Brand Advocacy: Consistently represent and promote our brand values, products and mission, acting as a trusted representative internally and externally.
• Mentorship: Share your knowledge and experience by coaching new team members. Be a resource for the wider team on category management best practices.
Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
