About the role

Yozma Group is a global venture capital firm founded in Tel Aviv in 1993. The original Yozma Fund, a joint government-private initiative, is widely credited with building Israel's venture capital industry and turning the country into the Start-Up Nation.
We invest from seed through pre-IPO — typically USD 1–6 million, usually with a board seat — across defense technology, semiconductors and AI, cybersecurity, and healthcare.
Yozma Group Korea is the group's Asian arm, based in Gangnam, Seoul. We work in both directions of the Israel–Korea corridor: taking Israeli deep tech into the Korean market, and connecting Korean capital and corporates to Israeli and global opportunities.
The Korean entity has formed 40 funds since 2018, manages USD 258 million, and currently runs more than 30 live deals across seven sectors.

What you'll do

This position covers our technology sectors — defense technology, semiconductors and AI, and cybersecurity. The work splits into two halves.

[Cross-border business development]
• Take Israeli and global technology companies into the Korean market: entry strategy, partner and channel selection, licensing and joint venture structures
• Build and manage relationships with Korean conglomerates, channel partners, research institutes, and government programs
• Negotiate partnership, distribution, and finder agreements alongside our legal counsel
• Prepare executive briefings and meeting materials for Korean C-level executives and Israeli principals

[Investment]
• Source and screen technology companies in Korea and Israel
• Build market analysis, financial models, and investment memos
• Run due diligence and support deal structuring through closing
• Work with Korean institutional investors on fund formation
• Track portfolio performance, and support portfolio companies on go-to-market and follow-on rounds

You will work directly with our Tel Aviv headquarters and global offices. The Seoul division is small, and everyone carries their own deals from sourcing through closing and beyond.

Requirements

• Financial modeling, market sizing, and structured problem solving
• Working fluency with AI tools — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or equivalents used regularly for research, drafting, data handling, and translation, including checking the output against primary sources. We will ask in the interview which tools you use and how.
• Business-level English. Frequent in-person meetings, conference calls, and email with overseas partners and clients.

Benefits

• Base salary — negotiated against experience and capability
• Project incentive — a separate performance payment based on your contribution to advisory and other revenue the firm actually collects
• Carried interest — for deals you source or bring in, or whose execution you lead, you share in the relevant fund's carried interest pool
• Fund formation — a separate incentive is set where you lead LP fundraising and the work of forming a fund
• National insurance, annual leave, and standard benefits
• Cross-border deals owned end to end — sourcing, diligence, closing, and post-deal business development. Few roles in Korea offer that range.
• Direct work with Tel Aviv headquarters and the CBO, without layers in between
• A division still being built, with room to shape how it operates
