Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Technician 1, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance to join our team in Central Seberang Perai, Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, experience in automation equipment such as ARV, ARS and turn table are an advantage
- Repair or replace faulty components and parts as needed
- Conduct regular calibrations and adjustments to maintain equipment accuracy
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and repair records
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the manufacturing environment
- Assist SME and engineer in the implementation of equipment upgrades and improvements
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new technologies and maintenance techniques
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Minimum Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or SKM Phase 3 (or equivalent).
- Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems.
- Willingness to learn and take instructions
- Assist in operating production or automation equipment.
- Perform basic checks, monitoring, and routine operations as assigned.
- Support shift teams to ensure smooth daily operation
- Conduct basic preventive maintenance tasks under supervision.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and escalating when needed
- Assist senior technicians in corrective maintenance tasks.
- Follow technical instructions and work procedures
PREFERRED:
- Automation equipment such as automation robotic storage and auto robotic vehicle
- Must be able to work 12 hours rotating shift
- Familiarity in computing and computer system
SKILLS:
- Experience with troubleshooting basic automation equipment.
