Description

Work multi-functionally with architecture, hardware, and software teams to help deliver surprise and delight in our latest products while maintaining great battery life and energy efficiency. This role requires the technical depth and expertise to understand how things work from the user interface down to the state transitions of each hardware block. This insight is instrumental to design experiments, derive insights from lab and field data, and convey the customer impact to engineering teams with potential solutions for optimization. Strong problem solving skills and effective communication are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Champion power optimization across Apple's ecosystem, influencing technical decisions and driving adoption of battery-conscious design principles.

Drive breakthrough battery life improvements through well-crafted experiments and quantitative data analysis, and deliver actionable optimization strategies to ensure features and products achieve ambitious power targets.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
