Overview

Microsoft is a company where passionate innovators come together to collaborate, envision what is possible, and take their careers further. This is a world of more possibilities, more innovation, more openness, and sky’s-the-limit thinking in a cloud-enabled world.

The Databases organization delivers trusted, scalable operational AI ready databases that power application development across cloud, hybrid, and on premises environments. Our portfolio includes SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, DocumentDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, supporting developers as they build AI native applications and run critical workloads at global scale.

Our mission is to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture.

The SQL team is hiring a Principal Product Manager focused on PLG, developers and enabling customers to build applications end to end on Microsoft SQL from ground to cloud to Fabric. The ideal candidate uses data, telemetry, customer evidence, creativity, resolve, and believes in radical ownership. This high visibility role has the opportunity to help grow millions of net new developers building on SQL during the agentic era, and a ground floor opportunity for the database used by the majority of the fortune 500 globally, on premises, and multi-cloud.

We do not just value differences or different perspectives. We seek them out and invite them in so we can tap into the collective power of everyone in the company. As a result, our customers are better served.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

  • Partner closely with engineering, design, data science, marketing, and field teams to deliver integrated growth initiatives that connect developer experiences, application creation, and Azure consumption.
