We are looking for Solutions Architects to join our AWS team in New York. We need a variety of skills to help shape and deliver on our cloud strategy for our global customers and partners. In AWS, you’ll find teams of focused builders whose ability to invent is only limited by their imaginations. As a trusted customer advocate, the solutions architect will help organizations understand advanced cloud-based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within organizations ranging from new start-ups to large enterprise customers. The ability to link technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect.

Key job responsibilities
- As a key member of the solution architecture team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform
- Partner with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS
- Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
- Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community
- Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers
- Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support

Basic Qualifications

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Travel up to 30% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or technology
- AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers
- Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
