- Write clean, maintainable code following Amazon's Code Bar standards while making appropriate trade-offs between maintainability and efficiency
- Collaborate with peers throughout the full software development lifecycle, from scoping and design through testing, documentation, and deployment
- Actively participate in operational support for the team, identifying and resolving root causes of issues
- Work independently with regular checkpoints to deliver software components that enhance our platform's capabilities in areas including generative AI and frontend technologies

Your day begins with a quick team stand-up to align on priorities and address any blockers. You might spend the morning debugging a rendering issue affecting animated stories on iOS devices, collaborating with UX designers to ensure visual consistency. After lunch, you'll work on implementing new features for the unified platform, perhaps integrating a new AI-powered content generation capability or optimizing performance across devices.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
