Job Title: Head of Marketing, Gold Bond

  • Location: Morristown, NJ

About the Job

Gold Bond Co. is an independent subsidiary of Sanofi and a leading consumer brand competing in the dynamic and growing skin health and body care category across the United States. Built on a heritage of trusted consumer equity, Gold Bond's portfolio spans therapeutic skin care, body powder, and moisturization — representing a strategically important and high-potential growth platform with strong brand foundations and significant runway ahead.

The Head of Marketing, Gold Bond is a transformational leadership role requiring a proven change agent who can set bold vision, drive organizational capability-building, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes — from day one. This is not a role for someone who needs time to ramp up. The ideal candidate brings deep, battle-tested CPG marketing expertise, a mastery of ecommerce and digital transformation, and the executive presence to operate with confidence and credibility at the C-suite level — both within Gold Bond Co. and with Sanofi's parent organization.

This leader will own the full marketing agenda — brand positioning, consumer insights, integrated campaign execution, innovation pipeline development, P&L accountability, and omnichannel retail strategy — while serving as a key strategic voice on the Gold Bond leadership team. The role demands an individual who seamlessly balances long-term strategic vision with hands-on execution excellence, and who can inspire a high-performance team while navigating a highly integrated, cross-functional organization.

This leader will partner closely with the CEO, Head of Sales, R&D, Manufacturing & Supply, Strategy & Transformation COE, and Quality. The successful candidate will bring broad and deep marketing leadership experience, proven ecommerce and digital transformation credentials, P&L ownership at scale, and the leadership presence to energize an organization around a bold and compelling vision.

Join the team transforming how healthcare is delivered for chronic and specialty conditions worldwide. In General Medicines, you’ll help drive meaningful outcomes in diabetes, transplant, and immunology with the scale and urgency patients deserve.

About Sanofi

We’re an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people’s lives and delivering compelling growth. Our deep understanding of the immune system – and innovative pipeline – enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Drive Brand Growth Strategy & P&L Ownership

  • Own full P&L accountability for the Gold Bond portfolio, driving profitable growth and market share expansion

  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategy including positioning, architecture, portfolio optimization, and long-term growth roadmap

  • Lead consumer segmentation, insights generation, and market intelligence to identify high-value growth opportunities and competitive advantages

  • Build and manage a robust innovation pipeline in partnership with R&D, ensuring consumer-led product development with clear commercial rationale

  • Establish brand governance frameworks and decision-making protocols across cross-functional teams

  • Drive financial rigor: manage marketing OPEX budget with discipline, optimize ROI across all investments, and deliver measurable business outcomes

  • Monitor the competitive landscape and translate market dynamics into proactive, forward-looking strategic responses

2. Lead Digital-First Marketing & Ecommerce Transformation

  • Architect and execute Gold Bond's ecommerce strategy as a primary growth engine across Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com, and owned DTC channels

  • Build best-in-class digital shelf presence: optimize content, search, conversion, ratings/reviews, and digital merchandising

  • Drive omnichannel excellence by integrating ecommerce strategy with brick-and-mortar retail execution in close partnership with Sales

  • Lead performance marketing across paid media, social, influencer, CRM, SEO/SEM, and emerging platforms including TikTok

  • Establish a data-driven marketing culture: implement advanced analytics, attribution modeling, and real-time performance dashboards

  • Champion marketing technology stack optimization and AI/automation to enhance speed, personalization, and efficiency

  • Stay ahead of retail media evolution and emerging commerce platforms; pilot and scale innovative approaches that position Gold Bond for sustained digital growth

3. Build Integrated Marketing Excellence

  • Design and execute integrated campaigns that drive brand awareness, consideration, and conversion across all consumer touchpoints

  • Lead creative development and agency partnerships; balance in-house capabilities with external expertise to maximize quality and efficiency

  • Develop sophisticated consumer engagement strategies including loyalty programs, community building, and brand advocacy

  • Ensure brand consistency and excellence across all channels while adapting messaging for channel-specific optimization

  • Drive speed-to-market improvements in campaign development and execution, fostering a culture of creative ambition and executional rigor

4. Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

  • Serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and Gold Bond leadership team; contribute to overall business strategy beyond the marketing function

  • Build deep collaborative partnerships with Sales, R&D, Manufacturing & Supply, Strategy & Transformation COE, and Quality

  • Lead strategic planning processes and brand governance forums; ensure organizational alignment on priorities and trade-offs

  • Communicate with clarity and conviction to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisive action

  • Represent the marketing perspective in enterprise-level discussions and Sanofi parent company interactions

5. Build and Develop a High-Performance Organization

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of 5–8 marketing professionals; create clear accountability and foster a culture of excellence

  • Build organizational capabilities in digital marketing, ecommerce, analytics, and consumer insights

  • Champion talent development, coaching, and succession planning as core leadership responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of innovation, consumer-centricity, data-driven decision-making, and intelligent risk-taking

  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion as a business imperative

  • Simplify processes and eliminate complexity to increase team velocity and impact
