The Opportunity
Frame.io is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead the technical and cross-functional programs that connect Frame.io to the broader Adobe platform. This role sits at the intersection of Frame.io product, engineering, product marketing management and the shared Adobe systems — identity, storage, pricing, entitlements, and other Unified Platform services — that Frame.io depends on to ship. You will be the person who understands how the pieces fit together! You will keep the dependency map current, and know exactly where the risk lives.
The ideal candidate moves fluidly between the 30,000-foot view — strategy, sequencing, tradeoffs — and the ground-level detail of specific deliverables, timelines, or launch dependency. You are a proactive communicator who keeps leadership, partner teams, and engineers aligned without being asked, and you're comfortable driving a room toward a decision when a program needs one, even across teams you don't formally manage.
What You'll Do
Own end-to-end program management for initiatives spanning Frame.io and Adobe platform teams (Adobe Unified Platform, Adobe.com, Identity, Pricing Operations, and others), from planning through launch.
Build and maintain the technical dependency map and schedules between Frame.io and underlying Adobe platform services; proactively surface conflicts, sequencing risks, and blocking dependencies before they become critical-path problems.
Translate ambiguous, strategic goals into structured project plans with clear achievements, owners, and success criteria — and track execution against them in detail.
Drive cross-organizational decisions and broker agreements among Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Legal, Pricing Operations, Support, and Sales especially when priorities conflict.
Lead proactive, executive-ready communication up, down, and across the organization — status updates, risk call-outs, decision— tailored to each audience.
Identify risks and dependencies early and drive mitigation plans across multiple concurrent programs.
Establish and evolve operating rhythms, planning processes, and governance that scale with program complexity.
Partner with Product and Engineering to understand technical tradeoffs deeply enough to represent them accurately to non-technical partners, and vice versa.
Manage change: adjust plans as scope, timelines, or partner commitments shift, and clearly communicate the impact.
Mentor and support other program managers; contribute to program management practice and tooling across the team.
What You Need to Succeed
8–10+ years of program or technical program management experience, ideally spanning both product-facing and platform/infrastructure-facing work.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability to understand and manage technical dependencies across systems — comfortable in conversations about APIs, service integrations, data flows, or platform architecture without being an engineer yourself.
Experience with media, video, and/or experience integrating a product into a shared platform ecosystem.
Proven track record driving alignment and decisions across multiple organizations, including partners you don't directly manage.
Written and verbal communication skills that are outstanding; able to distill complex, multi-team programs into clear, concise updates for leadership.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to hold both strategic context and execution-level detail simultaneously.
Skilled in change management, risk mitigation, and resolving ambiguity under time pressure.
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and standard program reporting tools.
Track record of building repeatable program management practices, not just running individual projects.
