Job Description

Overview:

This role will partner closely This role will partner closely with Legal Operations team members responsible for eBilling and law firm management to support legal spend operations, accrual management, budgeting and forecasting activities, reporting and analytics, vendor administration, and process improvement initiatives. The position will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective outside counsel management, and operational scalability as the department's global legal spend program continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

E-Billing Program Support:

  • Support administration of the department's TyMetrix 360° (T360) eBilling platform.
  • Assist with law firm and vendor onboarding, user access management, matter management, and system maintenance.
  • Partner with Legal Operations team members to support billing operations, invoice processing workflows, and issue resolution.
  • Help maintain billing guidelines, rate structures, matter information, and system data.
  • Support testing, implementation of enhancements, and adoption of new system capabilities.

Law Firm & Vendor Management Support:

  • Assist with administration of law firm and vendor records, profiles, and operational data.
  • Support law firm onboarding and ongoing vendor management activities.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and legal service providers on administrative and operational matters.
  • Assist with maintaining panel counsel information, engagement records, and vendor documentation.
  • Support initiatives related to outside counsel management and vendor governance.

Invoice & Legal Spend Operations:

  • Assist with reviewing and monitoring invoices for compliance with billing guidelines and approval requirements.
  • Support invoice exception management and resolution of billing issues.
  • Help monitor invoice approval workflows and payment status.
  • Assist with legal spend tracking, accrual support, and financial reporting activities.
  • Maintain operational documentation and records related to legal spend management programs.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs related to legal spend, invoice processing, vendor performance, and law firm utilization.
  • Create executive-ready reporting and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence tools.
  • Analyze legal spend and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and process improvement recommendations.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, accrual reporting, and management reporting activities.
  • Assist with data stewardship activities to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence:

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reporting, and user experience within Legal Operations programs.
  • Document processes, business requirements, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support automation, workflow optimization, and technology enhancement initiatives.
  • Assist with training materials, user guides, and process documentation.
  • Participate in Legal Operations special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Legal Operations, eBilling, vendor management, financial operations, accounts payable, procurement, legal spend management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting eBilling, legal spend management, accounts payable, vendor management, procurement, finance operations, or Legal Operations programs.
  • Familiarity with legal eBilling platforms such as TyMetrix 360° (T360), TeamConnect, Legal Tracker, or similar systems.
  • Experience working with law firms, legal service providers, corporate legal departments, or vendor management programs.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, accrual management, or spend reporting processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting concepts, budget management, forecast development, and variance analysis.
  • Experience partnering with Finance teams to support planning cycles, budget reviews, and financial reporting activities.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience developing dashboards and analytics using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, accruals, forecasting, or legal spend reporting processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Technology & Innovation:

  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Harvey, Power BI Copilot, or similar technologies, to improve productivity, reporting, analytics, and operational processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to apply automation, analytics, and AI solutions to improve efficiency and decision-making.
  • Curiosity and willingness to adopt emerging technologies and AI-enabled ways of working.
